In February we took Emma on her very 1st trip to Disney to meet Mickey, Minnie, and all of the other "friends" as Emma calls them. It was the most magical trip! We flew into Orlando, and traveled to Coronado Springs for our stay. The festivities began Day 1 with a 6:30AM bus ride to Chef Mickey's for breakfast. All of Emma's friends were there...Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto. Daisy was the only one missing. Emma was dressed as Minnie Mouse and was the hit of the entire breakfast, and we actually received special treatment because she was SO cute! When Minnie entered the room, Emma stood up in her chair and yelled across the room, "Minnie, come see me!" This breakfast was without a doubt one of the high points of our trip; Emma was mesmerized about all the characters there spending time with her. She's still talking about it, and tells me and Jason that we are going back to Disney in 2 days. From Chef Mickey's we headed to the Magic Kingdom and were there in time to see the park opening where she once again went a little crazy when Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto rode up on the train to countdown the park opening. We spent the morning riding rides and watching shows. We then went to the Crystal Palace for lunch with Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore. Emma was exhausted and fell asleep at the table. Prior to napping she did get to see everyone but Eeyore. When he came by the table, she was fast asleep, but I still got a picture! After the nap it was time to hit the park again. We stayed until 9PM to watch the fireworks over Cinderella's castle, and they were beautiful!!
Day 2 we were on the bus to the Magic Kingdom at 8AM and once again saw the park opening which Emma LOVED! The day was filled with character and princess sightings. We had so much fun watching Emma get so excited about seeing all the Disney characters and princesses that she talks so much about. We saw EVERY character and princess and that she wanted to see!!! We watched parades, shows, and rode rides all day! For lunch we went to Cinderella's castle. First...the food was great! Second...EVERY princess was there, and spent time with Emma at our table. Emma was dressed as Cinderella, and was of course, the cutest little princess there! After lunch, Jason and Emma took a nap in TomorrowLand...(literally, on the ground sleeping together.) I went to ride Space Mountain!!! That night we stayed for the SpectroMagic parade and fireworks.
The next day we headed home...long story short...flight canceled b/c of snow in Atlanta...had to rent a car, carseat, and hotel room...not the ending we expected, but it didn't at all change the way we felt about our marvelous 1st trip to Disney!

Oh yay, I'm thinking the story was just for me :) he he he.. I love to hear about the Disney Magic from everyone else though. (reminds me I'm not alone in appreciating the magic)
We love Chef Mickey's too. In my advice to Disney newbies, I try to explain how worth it the character meals are. Yes, they are pricey I know. But.. you are gonna pay $20 for a hotdog, fries and coke. Might as well spend a few more bucks and eat good. Then you aren't standing in line to see 5-8 characters, they are right there and come to you. You get all the time you want with them. Sooo worth it in our opinion!!
Crystal Palace rocks, Pooh is my favorite Disney character and I think it's such a cute place. We are making reservations there for Oct.31st and dressing Cole as Pooh, to meet Pooh for Halloween. I'm beside myself!! :)
I just can't imagine how excited she was, I love that she was already so into them. I love she's going back in 2 days, that is precious!!!
The pictures are sweet, sweet!!
OH and so funny about them napping in Tomorrowland! Andy is excited to have an excuse to go back to the room and nap daily now he says! ;)
Fun, fun, fun!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!!
